The Riga Business School (RBS) admission process follows in the tradition of the leading American universities. We assess both the intellectual and personal capabilities of every candidate. To do this, we calculate the Riga Business School Admission Score: Previous Education Performance (25%) + English Proficiency (25%) + RBS Math Entrance Exam (25%) + Extra-curricular activities, Personal achievements, Interview (25%) = 1 to 100 Points.
In order to succeed in Riga Business School, candidates should have a good intellectual preparation and they should have faced advanced level courses. We carefully study the transcripts of all candidates. On one hand we pay particular attention to specific subjects like Mathematics and English and other subjects more related to Economics and Business. On the other hand we also look at the overall performance of the students during the last two years of secondary education and the student’s performance on Central State Exams or equivalents.
This can be a TOEFL ITP, TOEFL iBT or IELTS.
Candidates should prove they have an adequate level of English, as all courses in RBS are taught in English and we have students and professors who do not speak the domestic language. To demonstrate proficiency, students should take an international language exam. Please find the necessary scores.
NB! Candidates can take TOEFL ITP at RBS for free. More information.
In order to assess the personality of our students, we review their extracurricular activities. Students are encouraged to inform the admissions officers in as much detail as possible inside the appropriate section of Admission Package. Example of extracurricular activities include Student Council, Sports, Volunteer activities, Internships, Cultural Activities, Hobbies, etc. These activities will be one of the subjects during the Admission Interview, therefore they impact the candidate's Riga Business School Admission Score.
