Dear RBS alumni, students and friends!

On the initiative of active RBS Alumni in 2007 the new RBS Choir was established. The choir is an excellent option to join our minds, to join our voices, to sing and enjoy wonderful emotions. We are able and ready to represent our country as entrepreneurs and as the choir, singing in Latvian, English, French, Japanese and other languages. We have musically demonstrated this in our concert tours in the USA and Canada in 2009. We performed a Latvian song festival in Canada and at the famous Kennedy Center in Washington DC. While we were in Washington DC we also represented the business community of Latvia and make contacts in meetings with local entrepreneurs. Along with the folk group Kokle, we had a concert tour in Hamburg May 2012.  We have performed throughout Latvia, including singing for the embassies of Germany and Canada, Zemnieku Saeima, several castles and churches. We participated in the Latvian Festival of Song in 2008. It has been our pleasure to be involved in such great song events as the Kurzeme Song Festival in Dobele 2010, Riga 810 gala concert and Riga celebration concert in 2012.

The choir cooperates with amateurs and professional collectives like the choir "Ave sol" and the brass band "Rīga". On our initiative, we contributed to the creation of Likteņdārzs and have participated in most of its significant events. The RBS Choir was one of the initiators of the 2010 for the concert "Love songs for Latvia". The RBS choir joined "Balsis" and other Latvian choirs and singers in performing 30 of Latvia's favorite songs; those that the people of Latvia associate with the sense of belonging and the love for our country which was expressed by our love for singing taught to us by our conductors: Gints Ceplenieks, Līga Liedskalnina and Zigurds Ete. In the nearest future we are preparing for our new concert program, our Fifth anniversary celebration and, of course, the main event next summer is the 25th Latvian Song and Dance Festival.

The choir is still open for new participants from RBS Alumni. If you have at least a little interest to try singing or if you already have experience in choir singing we welcome you to join us.

RBS choir rehearsals are on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6p.m. till 9p.m., at RBS.
