Crisis Management Course by Ojārs Stūre

Riga Business School kindly invites you to a two-day Crash Course in CRISIS MANAGEMENT led by our student Ojārs Stūre.

TIME:  September 18 and 20, 18:00 - 21:00

PLACE:  RBS premises, auditorium TBC

PARTICIPANTS:  Up to 15 people



The course has been designed for EMBA, PMBA students, and alumni to offer basic knowledge and develop skills necessary for crisis management. It will cover such areas as potential sources and reasons behind corporate crises, their possible effects, overall principles of resolving emergency situations and handling of communications.

The course emphasizes learning-by-doing approach and will devote most of its time to resolving made-up and real-life crisis situations. The students will take part in simulation exercises and they will be able to try themselves out in the shoes of crisis managers.

For the rest of the time, the instructor will offer a comprehensive lecture with key concepts and principles as well as ‘dos and don’ts’ of crisis management.

By the end of the course, students will have an overall understanding of crisis development and will acquire some practical skills for mitigating and resolving such situations.



OJĀRS STŪRE is an experienced executive with more than 15 years in various managerial and leadership positions.

Now he shares his Crisis Management experience that he been acquired at British Airways, GCI Group (now Cohn&Wolf) training centers, from running companies himself, and helping his clients in adverse and unexpected situations.
