About Dhananjaya "Jay" Dvivedi:
Jay has had a long career as a senior IT executive. As CIO of Shinsei Bank (2000 to 2010), he led the transformation of the former Long Term Credit Bank of Japan’s Operations & Technology platform to empower Shinsei’s new business model and built the capability for launch of a new Retail Bank within one year.
Prior to joining Shinsei, Jay spent 26 years at Citibank from 1974 to 2000. He worked in all major geographies including North America,
Europe, Middle East, Asia and Japan. He restructured the global software portfolio for Citibank Wholesale, worked on product rationalization for Citibank’s global portfolio of retail products, overhauled technology and operations for wholesale and retail banking at Citi Japan, restructured technology and operations for Citibank Europe to handle regulatory changes and the introduction of Euro, and managed the technology and operations roll-out for Citibank’s Middle east business in the 1970’s during the oil boom.
Dvivedi holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Madhav College of Engineering at Gwalior, India.
