Digital transformation is the unicorn of modern management. Everyone talks about it; everyone believes that it can create wonders; however, everyone describes it differently. The Digital Transformation course at Riga Business School is designed for top and mid-level management and experts on how to develop a strategic digital transformation agenda. It is a course about technology-driven strategic directions, new business models, and change management adapted to the digitalized environment.

2 IT Strategy/Challenges of Modern Strategy Strategy planning changes from straight-line long-term (3-5 years) planning to “agile” innovation development strategy. Impact of the modern business strategy on IT strategy; inclusion of digital transformation in strategy planning.
3 Design Thinking Basic design thinking principles and application areas; Practical work.
4 Business Service Processes and Operations Management Business service processes and operations management; Business processes management; Business processes quality management
5 Digital Marketing Basic principles of digital marketing; Digital marketing methods; Digital marketing channel management.
6 Legal aspects of Digitization/Personal Data Protection (GDPR)
7 Master Organizational Change Transforming an organization — neural, psychological, social, and technological aspects. Many people, organizations, and societies are ready to change. While digital transformation is effectively helping to advance physical and virtual environments, way too often we tend to overlook the essential role that human nature plays in the change processes.
8 Project Management Project management according to ITIL V4
9 Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Theoretical basic principles for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML); The scope and use limits for AI and ML; AI and ML deployment strategies.
10 Cloud Computing Cloud computing, its types and basic principles; Cloud computing use cases;
11 Cyber Security Cyber security strategy; Cyber security levels; Cyber security in different areas of IT.
12 Internet of Things (IoT) IoT technologies; Areas of use of IoT.
13 Virtual Reality (VR) / Augmented Reality (AR) VR/AR technology and technical capabilities; VR/AR application areas.
14 Automation/Intelligent Process Automation/Robotization Basic principles of automation, preparation of processes for automation; Process automation strategy.
