This is an integrated program for adults who are learning English as a foreign language. The aim of the program is to enable students who do not have sufficient English language skills to understand and use this language appropriately in social and professional settings. The program is suited for participants with no preliminary knowledge of English to High Intermediate. Teaching methods depend on the level of the course but you will have 2 instructors every class: one for the reading part and the other for the grammar part of the course.

How to apply?
To apply for the training fill out the application form and select the most convenient time for taking the test. Tests and studies are held at Skolas Str. 11, Riga. During the test you will be able to sign up for an interview. At the interview ELC instructor will assess your speaking skills, comment on your test results and assist you in preparing your training schedule.
Training
General English courses at all levels take place twice a week between 18.00 and 21.00. You need to complete two semesters of 12 weeks to finish one level.
Certificate
After every semester a participant receives a certificate that entitles him/her to study at the next level. In order to receive a certificate participants need to:
- successfully meet all course requirements,
- attend at least 75% of the classes.
