Keynote speaker Jožek Gruškovnjak, Director of Internet Business Solutions Group, Cisco. The speech will focus on the role of the internet in modern business. Are internet start-ups still possible now? Are we a modern company making the best out of technology if we just use computers in the office? What is the next big thing for the business? Company visit to Riga Airport hosted byRBS Alumnus and Riga Airport Board member Ervīns Butkevičs. Riga Airport has announced major development plans to begin on June, 2009. The plans include building of a new terminal with 23 gates and reconstruction of the existing one. The total cost of the project could reach 500 000 million euro, if another runaway will be constructed.

RBS Sponsors’ Party. This event will be held to thank our sponsors – companies and their existing and former leaders for their generous support in funding the renovation works of the School as well as helping us with state-of-the-art technologies to be used in the study process. The opening of the new Latvijas Balzams Lecture Hall will be followed by presentation of the School’s future development plans in the new ViaFinance Lecture Hall.

RBS annual Fall Ball. Theme for this year – the 60-s. Participants will have the chance to feel the authentic atmosphere of a 60-s’ party in Riga – learn authentic party dances of that time accompanied by the greatest hits, as well as participate in games and activities. The Fall Ball is the place where the RBS Annual Faculty awards are given, so RBS Students, please, think about faculty members you would like to mark out for this year.
