Entrepreneurs start their Mini-MBA studies

On March 7, the second Mini-MBA cohort started and the official opening took place at the Wellton Riverside Spa Hotel Conference Center in Riga. 20 motivated and curious students will learn how to develop innovation ideas and apply them in their daily work.
The official part of the Mini-MBA in Innovation opening event was followed by a hands on workshop by Jonathan Howard. Jonathan’s specialty is creativity and innovation training, leadership coaching, business anthropology, branding and marketing, improvization comedy teaching and group facilitation among other things.
The workshop introduced students to the most common innovation challenges and how to overcome barriers when implementing innovation. Also, the students were taught how to set goals and articulate what the goal of their innovation project is.
The Mini-MBA studies will continue until the beginning of June. Upon completion of the program, the participants will have a better understanding of how to provide higher added value through the creation and development of innovative products and/or services and will have access to practical tools that may be used in real-life situations.
In order to promote the growth and sustainability of enterprises and innovation, LIAA in cooperation with RBS is providing business training for entrepreneurs. The aim of the program is to emphasize the importance of innovation in organizations and to show how to commercialize an innovation idea using Steve Blank’s Business Model Canvas as a tool.
The training is organized within the framework of the LIAA project “Innovation Motivation Program” and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the European Union.
