Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning is a course designed to refresh and systematize the students’ knowledge of mathematics. This course will help students develop and enhance their mathematical skills to pass the University of London International Foundation Programme (IFP) entrance examination. IFP is the next step in order to get admitted to the University of London or its member intuitions such as the London School of Economics (LSE), Goldsmiths, King’s College London, and Royal Holloway, or other highly ranked universities in the UK and other countries. In the Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning course, the students will be encouraged to apply mathematical methods both in standard situations and in less common mathematical problems, thus bringing their understanding of mathematical problems to the next level. This course will also prepare future Riga Business School bachelor students as a high level of mathematics is needed for many courses.
